Leilani || Snow Senior Portraits || Sandia Mountains

Check out this session with Miss Leilani! Senior pictures never looked this good in the snow!

If you are planning to have your senior portraits done in the snow here are some helpful tips to make sure you have a smooth session.

  1. Pick outfits that are cute BUT ALSO WARM. Layers are always a vibe for fall and winter sessions. When you layer, you can capture a bunch of different looks. For example, bring a jacket/coat. Take some pictures with it on and off. BOOM, two very different looks.
  2. If you plan on wearing a long dress avoid dresses with slits so that you can wear leggings and snow boots underneath. If you have a slit you will see your shoes so you will want some cute shoes.
  3. Speaking of shoes. Try hard to avoid shoes that can easily get wet. Like converse, vans, and uggs. The more we are standing in the snow the more that snow is going to melt into your shoes. Making your poor little feet wet and cold. Wear shoes that will keep you as warm as possible. Absolutely NO HEELS!
  4. Bring some fun accessories like hats, beanies, and scarves. You can take some pictures with the and without these items on creating more stunning images with variety.
  5. Bring electric hand warmers, gloves, a small throw blanket, and if you are wearing a skirt or a short dress please consider wearing tights.
  6. Lastly, a little hot chocolate never hurt anybody! Hahahaha! Put it in a cup that will keep it nice and hot so you can drink it after your shoot.
