Hey New Mexico High School Seniors! Fall 2024 is all about staying classic with tiny nods to the past. Here’s a few great ways to wear this season’s best trends.
– Shade of the season: green. Whether it’s olive, emerald, khaki, or sage you can’t go wrong with these natural tones! Just make sure that you don’t shoot this color in a location where you blend in with your surroundings (aka nature).
– The old classics have come back with a vengeance! Animal prints (mainly leopard), faux fur, and leather will be all the rage for autumn as trends have shifted from the 90’s and leaned hard into the mob wife aesthetic. I know, I know… Fur and leather? For fall? Groundbreaking.
– Fringe is making its way to the front and center of fall fashion trends this year! You’ll be seeing this style in suede jackets, leather skirts, and even scarves. Fringe is super fun for portrait because it can add a ton of movement and energy to your pictures!
– As always, it’s plaid’s time to shine, but instead of the 90’s grunge plaid (aka the flannel look), opt for more sophisticated patterns this year. Houndstooth and tighter, more simple plaids are in season and they’ll make their debut in blazers, scarves, suiting, and skirts.
– And finally, the thin era of sweaters is over as thicker knits are the focus for this fall. Everything from cable knits, fisherman’s knits, and heavier rib knits will be all the rage this season. Just remember that chunky sweaters need to be paired with simple and streamlined bottoms – something to give it a bit of balance.
